The Christian Schools Tasmania Logo
The cord of three strands is not easily broken...
The logo for Christian Schools Tasmania embodies aspects of our vision for Christian schooling in Tasmania.
The plaited cord, with its rich colours convey the impression which we as an Association and schools are resolved to offer to the community - one of strength in unity, co-operational purpose and ultimately one of strength in humble submission to our Lord Jesus Christ.
The three strands of the cord primarily represent the 'tripod' of our children's Christian Education, namely home, church and school. We believe that as each of these factors are active in fulfilling their respective roles, the education of the child is maximised to the glory of God.
The three strands, together with their colours, also point to the Trinity, God in three persons. The purple is symbolic of the Kingship of the Father, the crimson points to Jesus the Son and the orange symbolises the fire of the Holy Spirit.
The shape outline is approximately reminiscent of the cross. It reminds us of the death and resurrection of the Lord Jesus Christ on our behalf, extending to us forgiveness and the opportunity for new life in relationship with God. It is in Christ and through the cross that we come together from all sorts of cultural and social backgrounds to make up the association known as Christian Schools Tasmania
