Term 2 2025

Recently, Wing from our Marketing Team shared a beautiful word at our Monday morning staff devotions around ‘seasons’.

The Bible tells us that ‘There is a time for everything, and a season for every activity under the heavens.’ (Ecclesiastes 3:1)

As we step into Term 2, we find ourselves deep in the rhythm of autumn. Across our schools, the signs are clear—crisp mornings, golden leaves, and shorter days. When Wing shared her devotion with the CST office, she brought in some beautiful autumn leaves, reminding us not only that we are indeed very much in the middle of autumn, but also of the amazing creative God that we serve! She also reminded us that nature, without rushing or resisting, embraces the changing season.

The same is true in our lives. Scripture tells us that there is a season for everything—joy and sorrow, growth and rest, beginnings and endings. For those of us working in schools, this truth often plays out in very real ways. Some terms feel full of energy and momentum. Others feel more like a grind—full of challenges, changes, or simply the weight of everything that needs to get done. But what are we doing in the midst of the season we are in? Are we embracing it or resisting it?

“Nature, without rushing or resisting, embraces the changing season .....”

You might be in a season right now where things are flourishing. Classes are clicking, teams are strong, and you are seeing the fruit of your efforts. Or, you might be in a quieter, tougher season, feeling tired, stretched, or in need of renewal. You might even be in a hidden season, where the work you are doing feels unseen or uncelebrated.

Whatever season you are in, God is there. He doesn’t only work in the springtime moments of visible growth. He is also powerfully present in the quiet seasons, the pruning seasons, the waiting seasons. In fact, it is often in those hidden times that God does His deepest work in us.

In John 15, Jesus reminds us that He is the vine and we are the branches. Our role is not to force fruit but to remain connected to Him, regardless of what season we may find ourselves in. That connection—moment by moment, day by day—is what sustains us, shapes us, and ultimately leads to the fruit He wants to grow in us and through us.

So, as we journey through this term, let’s be mindful of the season we are in. Not just the one marked by the calendar, but the one marked on our hearts. Let’s give ourselves and each other grace. Let’s trust that God knows what He is doing, even if the soil feels cold or the growth feels slow.

And let’s remember: seasons change, but God’s faithfulness doesn’t!
